You can work onsite in our offices in Helsinki or Berlin or fully remotely from any location in Finland or Germany. Aiven offers and operates Apache Kafka and other Kafka ecosystem open source components like Kafka MirrorMaker and various Kafka connectors. Support for Apache Flink is in the near term roadmap. You will be working closely with those, integrating them tightly to Aiven Platform and making sure the requirements on high availability, scalability and reliability are met. Depending on your interests, you can also contribute to the Java/Scala side, so develop Kafka open source plugins, connectors and other extensions, even investigate and fix possible issues with the open source databases. In order to succeed in the role you will need excellent development skills in Python and at least some development experience in Java or Scala. Previous experience on Kafka is a strong plus.
