Location: Vancouver or remote within Canada We are looking for a talented and experienced Developer Relations Marketing Manager to join our team and will champion and promote our solutions to the developer community. Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing, you have a proven track record in leading conversations with technical users and developer audiences via a wide range of platforms and mediums, and have an uncanny ability in generating valuable content that speaks to their hearts. You are also an effective communicator who can create effective positioning and content, and collaborate well with cross-functional teams to drive go-to-market strategy and to power product launches, as you will play a key role in shaping PDFTron’s messaging and positioning, influence the product roadmap and bring market and customer insights to RD. You have a creative mindset that thrives in a flexible and fast-paced environment, and you are eager to venture into the unknown and knock down roadblocks on your quest to deliver results.Responsibilities Build and manage marketing initiatives that differentiate us in the marketplace by creating unique and meaningful campaigns that not only help to drive engagement and reach but also build an emotional connection to our developer audience leading to a strong digital experience Lead the conversation and actively evangelize developer communities about PDFTron’s technology advancements to aggressively expand our customer base Identify, build, foster and engage an external ‘community ecosystem’ of our target developers influencers in their existing communities to amplify our messages. Grow and manage our presence in developer conferences and meetups. Deliver compelling content (e.g., YouTube, speaking at events, publishing/blogging, and through social media) to increase awareness, educate and inspire developers and build PDFTron’s reputation as a leader in this space. Collect and disseminate common use cases, problems and limitations of existing solutions Contribute to product marketing efforts including positioning, messaging and collateral, and to top of funnel demand generation activities. Articulate what our product is and the value it provides to users Leverage data conventionally and laterally to design, inform, evaluate, and optimize what you do Continuously develop your knowledge to keep at the forefront of the document processing, SDK, web apps, API technology industries' landscape, players, and competitors Become a product expert with in-depth understanding of technical aspects of the platform and industry use cases. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Marketing or equivalent in a related field. Strong understanding of how developers build software today (e.g. API, SDK, web apps, etc.) Familiarity with marketing channels such as Discord, Reddit, GitHub, Telegram, Slack and Twitter Experience with a developer-focused product You have experience in all or any of these areas: growth hacking, marketing, sales, partnership development Creative, critical and out-of-the-box thinker with outstanding analytical skills Excellent written communication skills Self-driven and able to work independently Naturally data-driven, familiar with analytics and reporting tools Excellent organizational skills and above-average attention to detail Passion for collaboration and continuous learning Ability to work in a fast-growing start-up and tolerance for ambiguity Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience qualifications.
