We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to catalyse our technical team and deliver products that are making a difference in the world.   Position As Viamo's Technical Project Manager you connect people and make things happen; you are at the hub and in constant contact with our brilliantly talented team members and making everyone shine. You own product roadmaps and advocate for the resources required to see them through. You make meetings more awesome and help teams celebrate when they meet their goals.  You are the team's  champion because you help us prioritise the many things we could be working on and ensure we are always building the next most important thing.  You love communicating within your development team, and across departments in order to bring alignment to a common larger product vision.  You understand the importance of a proactive and self organizing team and you bring out the best in team members so they own and are accountable for their work. You understand the importance of timelines and are able to bring designers, QA and other important stakeholders into the mix so that the Viamo backlog is full of accurate and fully detailed tasks, ready to be worked on (and crushed!).   Your Responsibilities day to day Product Gather requirements across teams - Work with Designers, Business Development and Product Stakeholders to gather requirements that meet both our project needs and align with our larger product vision. Communicate the product vision - Prioritise work and help the team achieve its milestones in a product roadmap.  Process feature requests - from both internal and external users and balance the evolution of the product without derailing the team's progress Coordinate the handoff - of the high quality software being built so that it is in the hands of those who need it Timelines and Planning Understand how development timelines for affect projects - Communicate timelines to your development team, product teams and project stakeholders Plan ahead - Ensure the backlog is full of accurate and fully detailed tasks that developers can pick up and work on (crush!) Build, maintain and deliver progress - on a technical roadmap which is visible to both internal and external users. Work with developers, designers and project stakeholders - to breakdown user needs into phases and features. Teamwork and Chapter Membership Unleash your development team - by ensuring they have everything they need, when they need it, to build awesome products and features that delight clients Bring out the best of team members - by encouraging them to be accountable to their work and their team Work remotely (and closely) - with a team of developers and designers in Viamo's hubs in Accra, Ghana; Dakar, Senegal and Saskatoon, Canada.  Feel free to join our team in one of those locations or work from wherever you are! Work across time zones - with other members of Viamo's Tech PM chapter and global sales project team members. Be exceptionally organised - in order to maximise efficiency with other team members. Contribute to the Tech PM Chapter - by leading and encouraging professional development and peer-led learning and within the chapter   Requirements (aka What we are going to love about you!) Team Builder - you set up the team for success by delegating, solving problems, boosting morale and keeping the wheels turning. Technical background - you enjoy working with people building things: you have some experience with software programming, testing frameworks or other engineering processes. This background helps you support and be an ally to your team of software developers. Organizational ability - we rely on you to get us to quality -- on time Attention to detail - You make sure everything works, big and small. You have the ability to track minute details in the context of a larger product vision Productivity ninja - Your demands come from various people and parts of the company and yet you are able to stay focused, juggle from time to time and ask for help when needed Nice to haves Experience in digital health A background in programming, testing frameworks or some engineering processes which will help you support and be an ally to your team of software developers.
