Who we are looking forWe are seeking a Technical Product Manager with a proven track record of managing the design and development of digital products from ideation to market deployment. This is a direct employment opportunity with AccuWriter. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, innovative, and optimistic, with the ability to manage themselves effectively. Reporting to the Founder/CEO, you will be the Technical Product Manager for our SaaS product and accountable for the overall product-market fit. Core Role Attributes In the trenches: You may not be a developer or a designer, but you should have a strong working knowledge of both UX Design and Software Development approaches. You should be able to ask our subscribers the right questions and author requirements at a foundational level. Product Ownership: Over time, you'll take over the role of Product Owner, and as such, you must have experience skillfully explaining product prioritization decisions and timelines to internal and external stakeholders. It's imperative as you learn the Residential and Commercial Home Inspection business that you be capable of voicing advocacy for the needs of our subscribers and end users. Vendor Management: You will be responsible for managing service vendors and ensuring that they meet our standards and expectations. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to build strong relationships with our vendors. Development Management: You will be responsible for managing the Lead Software Developer and the 3rd-party software development providers. Therefore you should have prior experience in a similar role. Process-oriented: You should be capable of following an established process and continuously looking for ways to improve it. You should be well-versed in Agile project management best practices and be able to steer things back in the right direction when necessary. Effective Leadership: You will keep a pulse on the morale of the team, provide help when needed, and mentor for positive career growth within the organization. Subscriber Facing: As the Product Expert, you will occasionally participate in pre-sales activities and presentations as needed, and operate as the “face” of the product delivery team to help our subscribers understand our product. Your day-to-day tasks will look something like this: Create and Own the Product Backlogs, including Jira ticket-level details. Collaborate with your teammates via Google Meet/Zoom and Slack. Review team progress through active Sprint Backlog. Daily meetings with the contract product design and development partner, serving as the Product Owner for our product. Facilitate and attend team side-bar meetings and coordinate with project contributors. Schedule team meetings. Conduct Sprint ceremonies. Participate in recruiting and hiring efforts. Collaborate with the Marketing team on product marketing efforts. CompensationCompensation is based on your skills, experience, and how well you fit into the Accuwriter team and our mission.
