About You AppDirect is seeking an experienced and energetic Senior Product Manager to lead our Platform Services team. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will become a key member of the AppDirect product management team and will work closely with product engineering teams and business stakeholders to drive developer experiences and core platform services through all development and go-to-market phases --from conceptualization, through launch, and into adoption. What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact Define and execute product vision and roadmap for AppDirect’s developer experience and core platform services, ensuring your vision aligns with the overall product and company strategy Champion developer experience and an API-first culture with cross-functional leadership Communicate and evangelize the value of core platform services to product engineering teams and business stakeholders by defining, tracking and reporting on metrics Constantly assess your product-market fit, using customer insights, competitive analysis and your own industry knowledge to adapt to changing conditions and refine your approach Drive the vision and requirements, translate them to functional specifications, facilitate a sound design and deliver an efficient experience Work closely with AppDirect developers and product managers to understand problems, capture new ideas and manage a prioritized backlog of requirements Participate in quarterly planning sessions to define initiatives, resolve dependencies and perform data-driven prioritization in an agile delivery environment Produce content for customers, engineering, sales, and product marketing to consume for product launches, training, or technical specs Work cross-functionally across product, engineering, architecture, infrastructure, field and other areas to successfully push platform and developer experience initiatives forward Own your measures of success, converting your KPIs to actions What we’re looking for 6+ years of solid experience in technical product management or equivalent experience Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience A passion for creating amazing developer experiences and a strong desire to make developers more productive through shared platform services Experience in building developer tools or APIs (especially with GraphQL), either as a product manager or as a software engineer Strong technical background in large-scale distributed systems and platform architecture to be able to communicate effectively with engineers and architects Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS solutions and modern cloud technologies (microservices, Kubernetes, CD pipelines, etc.) Understanding of the SaaS/Cloud industry landscape Excellent communications and partnering skills. Comfortable presenting to customers and internal stakeholders, across business and technical audiences Demonstrated ability leading geographically diverse cross-functional product teams Analytical and detail-oriented approach to your work, while also being quick to act and results driven Strong ability to break down very complex problems into actionable steps that drive results At AppDirect, we believe that innovation thrives in an environment that houses diversity of excellence, experience and thought.
