Tax is one of Heard’s strategic products and the reason why therapists join Heard. We’re looking for someone who can partner and collaborate across various teams, deliver clarity and drive impact, and really advocate for our therapists and their needs. This is a high visibility role that directly impacts Heard's success, and a core value proposition for Heard customers In this role, you will: Own the Annual Tax Product Experience — defining and maintaining a clear roadmap that will enable a successful tax season for Heard customers Partner closely with the customer, success and operations team to deliver a highly complex Be a staunch advocate for our customers, delivering a trustworthy, empathetic experience during a stressful time for them Become the expert on the Heard product — our differentiators, our wins, our challenges Partner closely with your cross-functional team (design, engineering, research) to drive progress, results, and impact Have a direct impact on the strategic roadmap at Heard and the growth of our business, working directly with the cofounders and cross-functional stakeholders to help therapists succeed Success in this role means: Delivering an on-time and delightful annual tax experience for Heard’s customers Partnering effectively with Tax Operations to enhance their efficiency. Simplifying complex workflows, especially for an audience who are not tax nor tech-savvy. Being comfortable with a highly regulated industry Managing a product that peaks during Tax Season, which entails careful planning, creativity in execution, and the ability to inspire a team during high volume times Working with the larger product team in enabling our customers to succeed About You Self-driven with a sense of urgency Deep empathy and drive to do right by our customers — you are a staunch advocate Strong cross-functional collaborator who can achieve shared goals and make hard decisions — you enjoy working on a product that impacts all the aspects of the business and requires collaboration across all teams Sweats the small stuff — tax is full of details Experience with fintech, HR-tech and/or other similar industries Experience translating complex subjects into simple product flows Minimum 3 years product management experience, ideally in a high growth startup environment Ability to work in PST timezones BA/BS in a technical or analytical field, and/or demonstrated understanding of software engineering Benefits Market salary and equity — and flexibility to choose distribution.
