We are looking for a Senior Ad Tech Automation Manager to lead our newly created business function. Reporting into the Head of Performance Marketing, the Senior Ad Tech Automation Manager will be responsible for procuring and configuring a best-in-class Ad Tech stack, leading on all aspects of digital marketing automation and scaling of operations within the performance marketing department. This role involves working closely with the technology and product teams and other key stakeholders within the organisation.   Responsibilities Build a high-performance Ad Tech Automation team driving material gains in digital performance (primarily new acquisition): Build great and collaborative relationship with the Performance Marketing channels Ownership of both procurement and onboarding of new Ad Tech across performance marketing channels Oversight of tracking infrastructure Manage key 3rd party vendors including but not limited to DMPs, CDPs, CMPs, ad-servers, TMS, ad-verification, MMPs, bid management (Marin etc), GA Auditing, fixing, installing and documenting the setup of technology vendors’ core code to ensure reliable results Ensuring that different technology systems are correctly aligned and integrated. Minimising the impact of match rates between systems Develop a rapidly iterative test and learn process that is “content driven” rather than not channel led Work closely with internal teams to troubleshoot problems and identify improvements Work closely with the technology and marketing product functions as the primary stakeholder for Performance Marketing and help ensure future requirements and needs are captured and understood by all parties involved and managed with visibility (roadmap) – responsible for “buy or build” decision making Drive the automation agenda: Optimisation automation: custom algorithms and APIs that can automate common optimisation tasks across display, paid social and paid search Creative automation: automating the process of creative approvals, testing, naming conventions and trafficking Scripting: Adword scripts automate common tasks in Adwords such as keyword (and negative) building, time targeting, split testing and disabling out of date promotions Utilising reporting API tools to bring together different systems into a unified reporting setup Build leading data capture capabilities and insight led mindset across the department Create data pipelines using Big Data ETL tech stack Work closely with the Data Marketing Effectiveness teams on measurement and data transformation initiatives Run AI analysis against your event level data set to gain powerful insights into users and data, unlocking the power of AI for our advertising campaigns Translating results from AI into marketing actions via integrations back into platforms and optimisation processes Using AI and Big data to customise reporting and optimisation to the specific needs of the business Highlighting any gaps or risks in the setup e.g 3P cookie deprecation or changes in mobile advertiser ID behaviour Research and identify ways to improve existing processes to deliver effectiveness gains and competitive advantage Requirements 5+ years of experience in Ad Tech Automation roles.
