THE PURPOSE: As a Product Manager with a focus on Advertising, you are responsible for the efficacy of advertising campaigns that merchants run on Slickdeals. Your products help merchants increase sales and brand awareness among the 12M shoppers who generate 100M monthly visits. Using your deep knowledge of advertising technology and strategies, you will manage the vision, user experience, engineering execution, and delivery of features that help merchants generate the best ROI on their campaigns. You will listen to merchant needs and work with advertising stakeholders to create a product roadmap that maximizes the output of your research, design, and engineering resources to benefit merchants, shoppers, and Slickdeals. Through collaboration with merchants, sales, and advertising operations stakeholders, you determine what features we launch next and why. You are responsible for ensuring merchants can manage and optimize how they invest their advertising allocation with Slickdeals. THE ROLE: Coordinate with the Ad Operations team to understand the requirements and priority of revenue-generating initiatives. Define technical roadmaps, plan execution, and deliver innovative advertising products. Advocate internally to maximize advertiser value. Make clear strategic decisions that promote well-defined, timely product releases. Communicate to get buy-in on those decisions with Product Managers, engineering teams, and other business stakeholders to ensure coordination and completion of responsible products. Work closely with Design, Engineering, Content, Marketing, and Business Development teams to manage and ultimately release new or updated product features. Analyze and act on business metrics and data to grow the business. THE CANDIDATE: 4+ years experience in digital Ad Ops product experience at an ad tech company, ad agency, publisher, or ad network. Mastery of the digital online ecosystem, including familiarity with major DSPs, SSPs, verification vendors, ad servers, DMPs, offline measurement vendors, and attribution vendors. Strong subject matter experience in regard to all aspects of display advertising, including programmatic trading, native ads, search monetization, and 1st party data segmentation. Care passionately about advertising systems and merchant outcomes. Exude strong product sense, execution, and leadership skills. Understands the changing landscape of ad tech and data privacy. Innovated, designed, executed, and shipped meaningful features or products, leading the work of cross-functional teams to deliver impact. Experience and success managing a Product Development and/or development team. Can attract and hire top-notch talent, coach and improve performance, and provide guidance and air cover to ensure the team is set up for success. Superior communicator with a broad capability across the business model - able to influence executive strategy and also to speak to product development teams in their language. Decisive and prompt, factoring in data, risk, and timeliness to ensure the continual advancement of the product. Translates vision and roadmap into clearly articulated requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to lead your product development team through the timely execution, deployment, and release of products. Communicates the product strategy and builds “buy-in” and collaboration across all levels of the organization. Ability to see signals in the noise of your quantitative and qualitative research. Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces, with the ability to create examples through wireframes. Familiarity with multivariate testing and analysis. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Track record defining and delivering successful advertising solutions. Experience vetting and integrating new ad technology systems. Made build vs. buy analysis and modeled out the impact of each decision. Experience designing user interfaces and performing user research. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities. Understanding of project management methodologies; Agile, Lean, Scrum. Comfortable communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience using project delivery software and ticketing systems such as JIRA. Experience using insights, reporting, and analytics tools like Google Analytics, Tableau, Amplitude, Hotjar, and Heap. Experience with ad servers, data platforms, and self-service ad products. Mobile application development experience with scaled iOS and Android applications. Experience generating and tracking critical metrics for mobile products.
