What You’ll Be Doing: We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to join and lead our “Connectors” Team. Together with this remote, cross-functional team you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of Camunda Platform 8 Connectors. These Connectors allow the integration of Camunda Platform with standard, and custom external systems. This is a remote role. Lead a team of 5 motivated Java and JavaScript Engineers Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering to plan, scope, design, implement, and deploy changes to our Connectors Ensure productivity by setting-up, and continuously improving processes which define how the team works Lead the team by example: have the ability and motivation to operatively support the team with critical implementation and architecture tasks What You Bring: Ability and/or willingness to use our product At least 3 years of experience of direct people management in technical teams At least 3 years of experience working in a professional software application development environment Knowledge of Java Experienced in collaborating with various stakeholders such as Product Management, Design and Principal Engineers when planning, scoping, and committing to goals An MVP mindset, continuously ensuring we are delivering business impact meeting ambitious goals Passionate about people and results and not just technical excellence Motivation and ability to use our product Ability to work in a remote environment following an incremental approach: use written communication for regular status updates and capturing key decisions, deliver work results in small iterations (within days) If you don’t think you meet all of the criteria but are still interested in the job, please apply.  Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.
