We're looking for a Backend Engineer with decentralized identity experience to join our founding team. We believe that people are the backbone of any great product organization. As a Backend Engineer with decentralized systems experience, you know that data security is a very real and growing problem. At Qui, you'll be helping individuals and businesses take back control of their data. There's tremendous opportunity for professional growth as we scale Qui How you'll make an impact at Qui: Develop product and related project development, configuration, and maintenance tools Build core infrastructure software, instrument it for scalability and performance, and optimize it for throughput Build core backend modules such as authentication, session, queues and schedulers Write unit and end-to-end test scripts for required modules/packages Integrate and consume other services/APIs. To be successful, you'll need to have: 3+ years of professional experience building server-side code developed with high-levels of scalability, reliability, and performance.. Familiarity with decentralized identity management solutions Experience implementing solutions based on the Decentralized Identifier (DID), Verifiable Credentials, secure storage, DIDCOMM, and related specifications Experience with REST, OIDC/OAuth, or gRPC protocols Experience building from the designs of APIs and documented application flows. Familiarity with industry-wide processes, patterns and practices You understand and can implement testing strategies You have strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to deconstruct complex business requirements and think out of the box Excitement for working in a start-up environment with a high level of ambiguity and change Bonus points: Experience working with Blockchain, PKI or Identity Management technologies Experience thriving on a small team where you've made a big impact. You are confident in your toolkit and experience, and you also love to pick up new skills and knowledge.
